Silva 3NL is a complete compass, suitable for most outdoor activities.
The easy-to-grip compass housing features a stable, easy-to-read needle. The red/black north-south lines on the bottom of the capsule ensure easy and safe landing. The upward curved back base plate has a magnifying lens for precision map work along with template holes for control marks and stars on the front.
The scale slide at the tip of the compass is removable. The ladder cord makes it easy to quickly assess the distance of your route or plan your route ahead of time.
This 3NL model is equipped with a detachable scale cord that works like a ruler. The scale cord has two scales; 1:25 and 1:50, making it easy to measure the distance of your walk. Since it's soft and flexible, it's easy to place directly on your route on the map when you're out in the field, or planning your next adventure.
