The 6 mm Ortles Master cord redefines the standards for alpine climbing and technical mountaineering, offering a high breaking strength of more than 15 kN and great durability against UV rays, all with a very low weight.
Its innovative hybrid structure combines an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW) core, a lighter and stronger material than steel, with a robust polyamide protective sheath. This construction guarantees exceptional strength and excellent ability to make and maintain knots.
The pre-cut sections come with sealed and rounded ends, ready to be used in various situations such as making prusik loops, creating anchors, rappelling mounts or for threading rock bridges.
Features:
- Breaking load: 15 kN.
- Diameter: 6 mm.
- Strong, lightweight and abrasion resistant.
- High resistance to UV rays.
- Excellent knotting capacity.
- Color-coded for quick length identification.
