These understated design boots are the lightest of their kind in their category. This is possible thanks to the light and resistant carbon structure at the heart of its construction. By using carbon fiber-reinforced polymer composites molded with unidirectional fibers, our shoe designers reduce thickness, but ensure maximum stiffness, strength, and longitudinal and torsional toughness.

The upper section of the frame is reinforced with Kevlar® and PU to provide greater protection and flexibility in the shin area. At the ankle, the dedicated carbon fiber Ankle Protection System (APS) is connected to the boot via a hinged joint. This guarantees effective freedom of movement in the longitudinal axis when walking. To ensure protection against rocks, scree and crampons, the blade is surrounded by a durable PU strip. Fully crampon compatible thanks to the rigid carbon fiber frame and reinforced piping at the toe and heel.

Designed in collaboration with mountain guides and professional climbers to keep feet dry, warm and comfortable, but also prevent moisture build-up in extreme mountain environments. They feature a dual construction with a waterproof and breathable membrane, a protective and comfortable stretch nylon outer gaiter with a YKK® heat-sealed and waterproof and an abrasion resistant PU strip. Its elastic properties and the cuff of the gaiter with non-slip silicone inserts act to prevent the entry of snow and ice.

Underneath, the inner boot has a durable nylon upper and a warm, synthetic felt fabric lining for thermal protection. To prevent the fingers from freezing, the area has an additional padding lining with Cold Shield technology and a Responsive insole to keep out the cold.

Everything about this boot has been designed to provide agility and support on mixed routes, ice climbs and glacial traverses on rugged terrain. The sole with Vibram® Litebase is designed to offer safety when walking. Weighing 30% less than a conventional sole, it provides benefits by saving weight and energy, while ensuring optimal grip, traction and durability. Outsole pattern features a toe climbing zone, anti-slip grooves and staggered lugs for traction, and a heel zone for braking on steep descents.

The Vibram® rubber compound also maintains its performance below zero. Underfoot, the variable thickness lightweight carbon fiber stabilizer provides good stability, load transfer and forward pointing precision and has been developed with areas of specific thickness to provide the right flexibility and stability for different activities. The compact shape of the dual-density polyurethane midsole further enhances walkability, comfort and a precise fit.
