The ABSORBICA is an energy absorber to be used in combination with a JANE lanyard to form a fall arrest lanyard. Very compact, allows minimal volume in the harness. Equipped with a tear tape, located in a zippered case, the absorber is protected from abrasion, while allowing periodic inspections.
Features:
- Designed to be used in combination with a JANE-I or JANE-Y lanyard to form a fall arrest lanyard of a maximum length of two metres.
- Absorbs energy in the event of a fall:
- Progressive tearing of the energy absorber tape that limits the shock force supported by the user.
- It works with users weighing between 60 and 140 kg.
- Minimum volume: very compact design so as not to disturb the user during their progress.
- Resistant textile cover, with simplified opening system, to protect the energy absorber from abrasion and splashes, while allowing periodic inspections of the absorber.
- Two installation options on the harness depending on the use:
- Frequent connection/disconnection: with a carabiner secured in the correct position using the STRING attachment accessory (included with the absorber) or with a MICRO SWIVEL swivel to prevent entanglement.
- Almost permanent connection: with a ring with RING OPEN closure whose circular shape ensures optimal positioning or with a SWIVEL OPEN swivel to avoid entanglements.
