Our probes have a singular purpose, and that’s what they’re designed for, down to the last detail. Durable aluminum provides a stable, lightweight construction for the Speed Lock Probe 240.
The glove-friendly, heavy-duty telescopic Speed Lock system is specially designed for fast, reliable mounting. When extended, an audible click tells you the probe is properly tensioned and fully engaged. The ergonomic grip can be clipped onto the extended probe, keeping it out of the way while in use. The enhanced 360-degree visual depth guide ensures you always have the right information at hand, while the profiled tip has been designed to efficiently cut through debris, saving energy when probing.
The lower section of the probe is highlighted in orange to serve as a visual guide as you approach a buried victim. All Mammut avalanche probes are UIAA certified for efficient rescue, durability and ergonomic handling. This probe measures 45 cm when collapsed, 240 cm when extended and comes with a cover with an integrated emergency plan.
