The Oreus jacket is one of Mountain Equipment's warmest, lightest and most packable synthetic garments, designed to face mountaineering challenges. Its development is based on the innovative Aetherm™ insulation, a proprietary technology that uses heat-reflecting fibers to offer a higher heat-to-weight ratio than other materials, as well as great breathability and compressibility.
This jacket is a very versatile piece, ideal both as an outer layer and as a warm mid-layer. Its quick drying and small volume make it a perfect companion for alpine climbing, ski touring, hiking or rock climbing. It has been tested in demanding conditions on mountains around the world, from the Alps to the Karakorum.
