This combination promises the best possible power transmission at a very low weight while also ensuring that the ski offers forgiving performance on the downhill. The special Race wood core is made from 100% premium Paulownia, of which the racing segment only uses the best 10 percent of this wood.
The DNA ski also has a 100% "UD" carbon fiber top and bottom layer. UD is the abbreviation to describe the "uni" or unidirectional arrangement of the fibers. Compared to classic carbon construction, UD carbon provides higher tensile strength and greater resilience while maintaining a lower density.
