The DMM Cortex is the result of a meticulous study to create one of the most versatile and lightweight technical ice axes on the market. Its one-piece design, CNC machined from a single block of aluminum, offers perfect balance and an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio.
Inspired by DMM's I-Beam carabiners, unnecessary material has been removed to create a distinctive profile that distributes weight across the entire length of the tool, achieving a perfectly balanced swing. The ergonomic grip features a textured polymer coating that improves insulation and grip, extending across the handle for easy use on less vertical terrain.
