The Ohm II is the updated version of Edelrid's popular braking resistance, designed to increase safety in ropes with a significant weight difference between the climber and the belayer. Thanks to its new integrated swivel joint, the direction in which it is hooked to the first safety is no longer relevant, which makes it considerably easier to operate.
This device increases the braking effect without limiting fluidity when winding the first rope. The new locking system prevents accidental opening and facilitates the insertion of the rope, as well as its removal when lowering the climber. With the Ohm II, the belay supports noticeably lower forces, allowing for much easier control when descending to a heavier partner.
Features:
- Increases rope friction for ropes with a large weight difference.
- Easy handling thanks to the swivel joint and the new locking system.
- Controlled descent and less effort for the belayer.
- Suitable for single strings from 8.9 to 11 mm.
