How to wash and dry a rope:
To wash a rope, immerse in clean cold water (less than 30°C) and use a mild detergent (powder for delicate fabrics or Beal Rope Cleaner) and end by brushing with a synthetic brush (or the Beal Rope Brush). To machine wash, slip the rope into a pillowcase or similar fabric bag and wash at less than 30°C on ‘delicate wash´. Never use pressure cleaners which could force dirt (Eg sand grains) into the rope and cut the fibres. Drying should be done in the shade away from direct sources of heat. (For preference hung up in circulating air).
