They look like regular hiking boots, but the Chilkat V boots are updated in a waterproof and breathable design that will keep your feet dry. They also incorporate a Surface Control™ sole, that favors forward momentum with each stride and is optimized to adapt to winter conditions.
The collar is designed to offer support and support around the ankle and the heel clips allow for use with snowshoes. In addition, the aerodynamic design encourages the foot to flex with each step, just as you would expect from good winter hiking boots.
Likewise, they incorporate thermal insulation Heatseeker™ for maximum warmth and the insoles are molded to retain air and prevent heat loss to the ground.
