The 3D Flex system provides comfort when walking and ankle support on uneven terrain. They add a Vibram outsole with Impact Brake System that helps absorb impacts with the ground, while an aggressive and staggered lug provides traction and helps maintain foot control during descents .
The lower part is covered by a plastic band that protects against blows. The toe cap has an extra reinforcement to protect the foot.
