The uppers are made with split leather and a durable premium synthetic textile, and are mid−cut to provide a little more support around the ankle. Inside the Tempest you will find the high performance waterproof breathable Sympatex Moisture Tech & reg; lining. Unlike lower walking shoes, the Tempest features a bonded and mounted construction with a full midsole for better underfoot support on rough terrain.
The sole Vibram & trade; Omnific has an aggressive tread for excellent grip on soft and loose surfaces, is lightweight and well cushioned. The versatility of Tempest Mid means that very often it can fill the roles of an approach shoe and a trekking boot for 2−3 days in a single extremely comfortable model.
