Climbers' best friend, the Boreal Flyers is the original approach shoe. When it first appeared in 1986 the Flyers were a revolution as it was the first shoe that could be used for simple climbs as well as for approaches or descents. Often imitated but never equaled, the Flyers have evolved to take the lead.
Flyers W has a slightly more precise fit system than our normal approach shoes and has an extended shoe−like lace closure for a precise fit and great control. The upper is made of premium split leather with PU Air Net lining, and a generous rubber band protects from scratches and helps grip when we put the foot in.
The Vibram Appeal sole combines a precise climbing zone in the front with a deeper tread pattern in the rest. This provides excellent grip on rocks and soft ground, whether going up or down.
Unlike normal approach shoes, Flyers features a glued−on−mount construction that provides superior comfort and support on rugged terrain.
