The Air Force 3 is a belay and rappel device designed to reliably protect when climbing. This device allows the belayer at the belay to belay one or two second climbers independently and self-locking.
It has four guides for the rope: two with V-shaped braking grooves that facilitate a metered and efficient control of the rope, and two wide and smooth guides that ensure a smooth and edge-free glide. A small additional opening simplifies the unlocking of the ropes under tension. If the friction in the V-grooves is excessive, the device can be rotated to use the wide guides.
Features:
- Self-locking belay for one or two seconds.
- Two V-brake grooves for effective control.
- Two wide rope guides for less friction.
- Compatible with single, double and twin strings.
- Rope diameters allowed: from 7.3 to 10 mm.
- Ideal as a versatile device for all types of alpine climbing.
